Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is included in the fee?

A. Our motto is Sip, Sample and Shop. We cover the sipping and sampling, you cover the shopping.  The fee includes all food, taxes and tips, as well as your guides and a surprise or two.

Q. How much food is included?

A. Our tours include four to six stops for food. Unless you are in training for an Iron Man race, you’ll be full by the end of the tour.

Q. Must I reserve in advance?

A. Yes, paid reservations are necessary.

Q. What if it rains?

A. Tours go on, rain or shine. We might cancel in case of volcanic eruption, or if fewer than five people sign up for a tour. In which case, we will promptly refund your money.

Q. Will I receive tickets?

A. Once you speak to us by phone, your reservation is complete. No tickets are necessary.

Q. If I cancel, can I get a refund?

A. Most tour companies do not offer refunds. However, we understand life takes unexpected turns, so we do offer a full refund, less our  processing fee, if you cancel 14 days or more before a tour. If you cancel 7-13 days before a tour, we will refund 50% percent of the amount paid.  If you cancel six or fewer days before a tour, we are unable to offer a refund.

Q. Can I book a tour for a private group, organization or business?

A. Absolutely. We are often able to add a walking tour to the calendar for a group of 6 or more. We can charter a bus for groups of 30 or more. In most cases, we can tailor the tour to meet your group’s special interests.

Q. Can I bring children?

A. We love kids, but our tours include walking, standing, listening and shopping, which might be boring to the younger set. So, while all are welcome, we don’t recommend our tours for those under 12.

Q. Will there be restrooms available during the tour?

A. Yes, there are public restrooms at several stops on our walking tour, and at most stops on our bus tours.

Q. Can I do your tours if I have a cane?

A. The total amount of walking on our 3 ½ -hour Historic District tour is just over a mile. There are no steep hills but there are steps at two locations. There will be opportunities to sit and rest.

Q. What should I bring?

 A. An appetite. Sunglasses. Camera.  But mostly an appetite.
